ALEX JONCAS AT ART ATHINA & ART BASEL

A New Chapter for Alex Joncas: The "Bois d'œuvre" Collection Meets a New European Audience

At Milan Design Week 2025, Alex Joncas met Florent Serieye, founder and director of the nomadic gallery SeriEYE. Florent was immediately captivated by Alex Joncas' work and his "Bois d'œuvre" series, which was on display at Alcova 2025. Convinced of his talent, he invited Alex to be part of his nomadic gallery's fall 2025 tour. Florent has shaped his vision of design and art through a diverse international journey, from his experience at Jean Paul Gaultier and Negropontes Gallery to his expertise in organizing major art events like HE SALON ART+DESIGN/New York, DESIGN MIAMI, and NOMAD ST MORITZ.

Art Athina - Contemporary Art Fair Athens

Alex Joncas will be in Athens for the 2025 edition of Art Athina - Contemporary Art Fair Athens, running from September 18 to 22. The event is an opportunity to present his iconic "Bois d'œuvre" collection to a new and unique European audience.

This series of seven vases is a poignant artistic response to the devastating wildfires ravaging Canada. Each piece, unique and unpredictable, is born from the fusion of glass within an ephemeral wooden mold.

As the series progresses, the imprints left by the wood become increasingly pronounced, bearing witness to the brutal transformation of matter.

Art Basel Paris - Maison Leleu x SeriEye

The journey continues in Paris for Art Basel Paris, from October 22 to 26, 2025, where Alex Joncas will also present his "Bois d'œuvre" series in collaboration with the prestigious Maison Leleu.

Founded over a century ago, Maison LELEU, a member of the Comité Colbert, has established itself among the most refined French luxury houses. Their distinctive style, combining inventiveness and refinement, has captivated prestigious figures in the art and design market. Today, Alexia LELEU, the great-granddaughter of founder Jules Leleu, continues to perpetuate this heritage by opening it to modernity, captivating art lovers and collectors worldwide.
